Good news, everybody!

My close, personal, best friend of over 20 years, and beloved clan member, Paladin, has been recruited by TEAM RAZER, one of the premier cyber gaming teams. They are looking to expand the league to the Player vs Environment model (PvE), beyond the usual Player vs Player (PvP) format seen in Counterstrike, etc. Chosen as one of the first eight players for their Insurgency team, Persimmon will be traveling to such exotic locales as Seoul, South Korea, Honolulu Hawaii, and Parsippany, New Jersey, proudly representing TEAM RAZER. Congrats, Pachyderm! This is recognition that's been a long time coming, as Pontifex has long been known to be a huge RAZER fanboi and world-class FPS player.

As for myself, I have a bit of news as well. I'm just about to release my masterpiece (4 years in the making) via Steam's Greenlight program - an indie title featuring 8-bit graphics reminiscent of such beloved Atari 2600 classics as Tank Battle, Pong, and ET: The Extra-Terrestrial. it's a 128-player game, consisting of two 64-player teams that each control one gunman, which face each other on a desert battlefield cluttered with cacti. Featuring highly accurate ballistics calculations involving air density, ground temperature, gravity and the Coriolis force, the commands from all 64 players are averaged together to move the gunman, in a game that takes 'team-play' to it's logical, truly democratic, conclusion. I'm sure I'll find a way to attribute some sort of philosophical bullshit and highfalutin' allegories to the gameplay as well, once I slap on my fedora, head down to Starbucks and camp out there all day with my MacBook. In the meantime, here's a sneak-peek at the graphics to tide you over.

Pre-orders are just $39.99. Remember, I'm under absolutely no obligation to do a damn thing more with the game, though I totally promise I will. Honest.
