Borderlands Pre-Sequel: Steam Key $39.99 @ Direct2Play

The Pre-Order Steam Key for Borderlands The Pre-Sequel is available at Direct2Play for $39.99. That's about $20 off the regular price in Steam.

It's still only pre-order because the game won't be released until next Tuesday, the 14th.

The day the game is released they'll email you your key. I think I've used these guys before for Steam games. I'm considering ordering a pair of keys for my nephew and myself. I was going to wait until Black Friday to order this, but I didn't think it'd be this cheap this soon. If it does go for cheaper on Black Friday, it probably won't be by much.

If you guys want to wait and see what happens with my order, I'll give it a shot. I don't know how long it will be on sale.

OK, I read up more on these guys here. I think this is who I bought my Russian version of BL2 from - I never did the VPN trick because I selected the English version of the install. Apparently I'm lucky I didn't have problems because some others did.

I don't think I'm going to risk it this time since I plan on buying two keys. It would suck to have our characters built up and then suddenly have our Steam accounts wiped.

I'll keep looking around. In the forums they did suggest some other legit sites to search for good sales on Steam game keys.

EDIT: Looks like I'll be waiting until Black Friday as originally planned. Oh well... at least I tried.

I won't be doing much of anything purchase-wise for awhile. Just had to repair the furnace because I flooded under my house and it shorted the control board, $400. New sump pump (which I now have to install) $150, and about to need some emergency dental work that's only partially covered by insurance, $$$...so gaming is free or what I already have for quite awhile.

I'll buy the BL Pre-Sequel when it goes on sale, but that's it. I've got plenty of games I already bought to keep me happy. I just installed Diablo 2 because I miss it so much (and Diablo 3 sucked the sweat off a dead man's balls).
