Looks like a nice, updated Day of Defeat clone. I used to love DoD, but the last time I played, I got my ass kicked horribly. That might be because I was playing on a laptop in rehab, but I'm not sure about that. . . anyway, it's only a dollar, figured I'd take a flyer.

Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 THX computer speakers - $69.99.

You see $69.99 and think, "garbage", but these are some of the best speakers you can get under $150. They often sell for over $100, but for some reason, they've been selling for much less recently, here and there. Wal-mart had them on clearance at their brick & mortar stores a few months back, but this is the first time you can order them over the internet at that price. I have a set I paid $90 for(open-box) at Best Buy, back in early 2018. I'm happy with them, though I also have them paired up with some Monsoon flat-panels to add a brighter sound (and because I had them, so why not?)

At $70 they're a great value, if you haven't invested in decent speakers yet and you want some now.

Yeah, I got BF1 for like $4.99 at some point. Played the single player some, wasn't worth the $4.99 for that. I'm gonna get BF5, dunno if I'll ever play it.

I would recommend against, "Destroy all Humans" at any price. I bought it last Christmas when I wanted some silly fun, but you spend more time walking around in disguise than blowing up cows, and you die pretty easily. Worse, the disguise mode is irritating- you have to zap humans without being seen to maintain your disguise, so you often get caught. IMO, they missed the boat. There's too much sneaking around, and not enough melting people. Even the melting people part is too sedate. They should have made it a crazy over-the-top action game like Doom, or even Borderlands.

The number of players jumped quite a bit when they gave away BF1 keys last week. I expect this will do the same for the BFV community. Maybe I'll jump in and play some. It's been ages since I had any BF fun, and since I'm eyeing the new BF2042, it might be a good idea to try this one and get an idea where the franchise was at with the last release.

Sounds good. The new game, 2042, has a lot of differences, but we can read about the differences and similarities to BFV. Maybe it will help us decide if we want to get in on it.
