Human Fall Flat on sale until April 2nd.

Postby Paladin » Sat Mar 31, 2018 3:25 pm

This is on sale right now in Steam until April 2nd.
Only $7.49 so cheap.

It has Co-op so may be fun. Only drawback I see is at first I thought there would be workshop levels but it does not appear to be the case.

I picked it up anyway. Cheap enough even if it only lasts a few hours. I can always play by myself. I am good at that. i :) i

For an extra $1, you can get a Steam Link with this. Not sure I'd ever want or need one, but it's hardware for $1 to put in abox against the day when it might come in handy.

I just got the regular version. I will rarely play my PC games like on a console like that. Also why do they charge extra for that? Lame.
Steam Link==lame.
Seriously I have not heard good things about Steam Link anyway. Slow etc... It is not a box that plays games anyway, it is a box that simply mirrors a PC you already have running your games, it is not standalone.

Also I already have an HTPC connected to my TV so I can play my steam games in up to 4K on my TV now and not pay extra.
Of course the video card is so so but will play able Top Simulator which I already have installed there just in case. i :) i
That is one game that seems fit or okay to play that way.

KrBn Mechanical Keyboard

Postby Paladin » Wed Apr 04, 2018 5:51 pm

Just got a notification from my Amazon app.

I am unsure if this is a flash sale or a normal sale etc... but though I should post here.
I know it goes on sale like this every so often so not a GREAT hurry etc....

Unsure I like my G19 overall to be honest. I am thinking of picking one of these up.
"Thinking" about it...

The G19 is a very nice keyboard but has a slightly off key placement that bothers me when I type on it. One of those I like it but don't love it things. I am just unsure on that thing. Some things I LOVE about the G19, others I only like... Arggg... i :) i

Damn good price at under $60 for a keyboard that does everything the G19 does and has real blue switches...
No I am not fooled by the $200 retail price. I am sure it is an under $100 keyboard.
No idea of the REAL quality etc....
The only thing lacking are the G function keys but I don't use those much anyway.
Unsure if the colors can be programmed like the G19 though...

I think I will LOVE those clicky keys. I miss that on an old IBM keyboard I used to have. I like that feel.

Reviews are mixed though.......

Any opinions on it?

First Impression: I noticed, this is not RGB, it's Red, or Green, or Blue. Same keys stay the same color all the time, regardless of mode. No dedicated volume control or multimedia keys.

Not sure you can tell it which individual key to light up, seems to have a handful of dedicated game modes like "FPS" "MMO" etc.

Not flexible in the lighting setup, weird off-brand. I can find a deal on light-up, name-brand mechanicals at like $60- $80 on a weekly basis. Didn't know anyone was looking for one.

You can buy "normal" keycaps for your keyboard for about $30 if that's all that's bothering you. Haven't checked that price in awhile though. Personally, I have a problem with the short key-throw. It's like a mm shorter, and I make more typing mistakes because it's less forgiving.

For $50, maybe. Anything north of $100 there are TONS of better boards. At $250 they had to be joking. The $200 Corsair K95 packs many, many, many, more features. And all the cheaper Corsair RGB boards have most of the same features as the K95.

Let's not forget the rather crappy, but cool, Optimus Maximus keyboard from about 10 years ago. Went for a cool $2000.

Don't know how long this price is good for, but I'll put it in this thread to be safe.

SanDisk Ultra II 960GB SATA III, $169
https://www.walmart.com/ip/SanDisk-Ultr ... 3=&veh=sem

Lexx, heads-up! It's listed as being from Circuit City, but I believe Tiger Direct bought their name. It's your favorite, 2-weeks-to-ship, popular in 2005 webstore!

I don't NEED it, but it calls to me. Gonna ignore it, but that's a nice price for a terabyte of SSD. Not as nice as a 960 EVO, but not shit either.

G. Skill Ripjaws RGB Cherry Blue keyboard, $63.

WD 4TB Elements Desktop Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - $79

Likely a WD blue HDD in there if you wanna shuck it and put it in your desktop. $20 cheaper than a plain bare internal drive.

I've always been interested in photography, but never found the money to put into it.

Not a great deal per se, but I've seen a lot of deals on GTX 1060, 1070 and 1080's in the past 24 hours that were at or near MSRP. Unheard of since Black Friday, basically. The 1070TI and 1080TI's are still commanding a premium price. Maybe some reasonably-priced video cards are coming soon.

I was sorely tempted by some 4-year-old cards that were in the $200 range yesterday - EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Dual Classified's nicely overclocked cards out-of-the-box.They are an improvement over my gtx 960, but I figure a couple more months and more, cheaper options will open up.

They're out-of-stock now.
