I just ordered one. $14.01 after shipping for me.

It was $1 plus shipping a couple days ago. Still, $5 a great deal for a piece of hardware like this. You probably won't use it, but it was a nifty attempt to update the controller.

I use a controller for a few games. It wont replace my mouse. But, I can think of a few places to use it.

I don't think I would ever use this, but I really like the idea of it. I have an xbox 360 controller I only ever use for pinball games. The shoulder buttons are great for flippers, and I won't get too excited and hit my keyboard too hard this way. Plus, I can sit back and relax while playing, unlike most games where I have to hunch over the keyboard.

Games like Assasins Creed are easier to control with a gamepad. They are built for them.

I bitched too soon. They did say what went wrong but it was way at the bottom. Damn..

This purchase failed, Steam was not able to accept payment from your payment provider.

Think it is something to do with my CC even thought my CC has enough credit.. I need to look into it.

Bad new/good news guys. One of those things that probably should have been BS'ed about in TS, but in our current game, we're not BSing much.

Bad news: They're sold out on Steam controllers and aren't making more. They were dumping inventory.

Good news: They're making a new one, supposedly to integrate the finger-movement detection they're using in the new VR controls. They're looking to make this more useful in VR.

Take it with a grain of salt, but that's what is going around the forums now. More than a few ppl had their purchase declined as they ran out of stock. In your case, Paladin, I'm sure they had some issue with the transaction, as they haven't been shy about telling others they ran out.

If you really need one, I'm sure they'll be very available on Ebay. Lack of availability may spike the price for awhile, but it will come back to earth, particularly when they bring out the new models.

Thanks. It is not a HUGE deal of course but at that price I really wanted to take advantage even if I don't use it. I already have a wireless BT XBox type controller bought years ago. I use it once in awhile bit not often enough I guess.

Still that Steam one looked interesting.

Steam sent me an email last night also refunding my money without a reason. My guess is they sold out fast and someone didn't have the limit set right.

Oh well I guess I am in good company.

Got my controller today. I must say, I am impressed so far. Works very well. Pretty comfortable. EXTREMELY customizable. And they provide access to all user-uploaded profiles for any games you load up. So, if you don't want to make a proflie you can use someone else that is already made. Then add any tweaks. Only played a few games so far. All worked just fine.
