There is a YT security channel that tests all the various software out there. He uses fresh malware packs and a script that runs them. Usually 1500+ and all new within a few hours of the test. Bitdefenter and Kaspersky are the top two over and over again as far as the consumer stuff.

It is that time of year so I have been watching for AV sales so thought, why not, and picked up the 5 devices BitDefender. I will switch over to it and see how it works for me for a year.
Always liked Bitdefender and Kaspersky along with Webroot. I am really curious how well BD will work on my Android devices.

I have one device left one mine license. Not sure if I will put it on my wife's laptop or my phone. I would like to put Linux on the wife's laptop, but she won't let me. Even though all she uses is the web browser and that experience is the same regardless of OS.

Did you just buy it? I got the 5 licenses version, I always do. I have my main gaming PC, my HTPC, My music recording PC, my phone, my tablet and many laptops but three main ones.

I usually never have enough but put it on the main stuff.

I picked it up when I made the post. I only grabbed a three device copy.

Awesome. There was only a $5 difference between the 3 and 5 license versions. Also the 5 license version allows you to put it on your other devices like your phone. Does not look like the 3 does that.

I only installed it on my phone and one of my laptops, my personal surface. Man one bad thing is it made me uninstall my firewall program. So I have to use theirs, kind of lame IMHO. I should have the choice, I did not like that.

Also having issue using Pulse secure to log into work's VPN. not good, I have to have access to that. I am unsure what the issue is there yet.

So two negatives so far but we will see how the protection goes etc...

That is pretty normal. Most security suites will require their own firewall. It is a whole package deal. And you do not want more than one firewall running.

I know man, just a pain to have to set up all the rules again etc... Did not have many on my laptop but my HTPC has a bunch.

Bitdefender is on sale, everything for $15, min, max, full suite same price. I just picked up the 5 devices full suite.

I was thinking about it when Prophet mentioned it...wondering if that was the BF sale or it would go cheaper. I thought no way would that be even cheaper... hehehee fuckers. i i

Fuck... I may buy 5 more anyway. $15 sheesh that is cheap... I have a lot of devices so even if they don't refund the difference it may be worth it.

Wow. I missed the boat on the $15 deal. I just picked up 3 licenses tonight for $25. So I only lost out on $10, plus a few more devices.

Do they do this every year? I've been looking to move off of Kaspersky, but still have time left on my license.

You should of used my link, its still 15 for 5 devices full suite.

FYI Bitdefender refunded me the difference since I paid more just 5 days before the sale. So hey, $18 back to my account. Good thing is if I can get 5 more licenses for that $15 that will pay for it.
