Find out which store near you is closing, maybe buy something at a slight discount because they take forever to institute decent discounts.

They're closing the Sears I worked at when I moved down here. I have a lot of . . .memories. Yeah, that's fair to say. I definitely have memories from a nonspecific location on the good/bad spectrum of working at Sears.

Yeah they closed several here as well. Sad, I really like Sears.
No good department stores anymore.

Amazon has put a LOT of stores out of business.

All the K-mart's and Sears here closed years ago, though they did open a Sears Outlet here...never been into it, so no idea what it is.

I think one mall has an actual Sears left, now that I think about it. Went there for glasses once, and of course they screwed up the prescription.

I love craftsman tools...my father found a rusted solid crescent wrench in a farmer's field one day years ago, the farmer told him he could have it so it took it home and wire-wheeled the side of it enough to see it was a craftsman. He took it to Sears, dropped it on the counter, and the guy went over, grabbed a new one, and gave it to him. Lifetime guarantee, just like they advertised.

To be honest, Department stores usually suck. They never have what I need or am looking for. Specialized or online is the only real option.

The two Sears stores in MN are near me. One I use to live near and the other is on the other side of the metro from me.

My grandfather retired from Sears, worked in their computer department. Sears used to be THE place to go for just about anything you needed here in Birmingham, but that was decades ago.
