$12 humble Monthly Bundle

Looks like a GREAT bundle this month.
https://www.humblebundle.com/monthly

Kerbal Space Program - a huge hit of a game, widely loved. Haven't seen it for under $12 ever, not even when it was in early access. The bundle's worth it JUST for this.

Dead Rising 4- Another well-thought-of game, though less so than Kerbal

Ruiner - A stylish top-down shooter in the cyberpunk vein. I might give it a spin in hopes it will be the Torchlight 2 fix I've wanted.

Moon Hunters- A Co-Op, weird rogue-like 'personality test'.

Crazy Machines 3 - a Rube-Goldberg device creation kit, I think. Looks crazy.

Jalopy - A David-Lynch-like road-trip game.

With three more games to be announced once the sign-up period is over. You won't know what those are until the ability to buy it has passed. It's part of the gimmick, you don't know all the game until it's too late to get it - you have to buy into the 'grab-bag' element here.

But this looks like you have to subscribe??

$12/month NOT just pay $12 or am I wrong??

They don't offer this as a one time buy like previously? Maybe I missed something.

You get a new 'mystery' bundle every month. A group of games, then they tell you what 2-3 of them are, then they tell you 2-3 more, than on the day when you are charged, the last few games are identified and unlocked. It's a silly grab-bag approach that some ppl really get off on. For example, this month, it's still pretty early and they've already told us six of the games. Many yearly subscribers are pissed because they revealed too many and there's not enough of a surprise.

Things to know.:

1. It IS a subscription, but you can cancel anytime. I fully intend to get only this package and cancel.

2. You get to keep the games in each monthly bundle for life (and they activate on Steam), you've bought them. It's like a 'jelly of the month' club, or somesuch BS, only it's with games.

3. You get 10% discount in the humble store while your subscription is running.

4. You can pay for it monthly (like I did), or pay every 3 months or yearly for an additional price reduction on the monthly fee.

5. There is a library of other games we haven't talked about that you get access to with a subscription. The "Humble Trove", which has 50+ other games. THOSE games, you can play while your subscription is active, and go away when it lapses. The games we've talked about so far, each $12 monthly bundle, are yours for life.

If anyone's buying this, I get $8 in-store credit for referring ppl, so let me know if you wanna buy it. I might as well get my bonus if you're getting it anyway.

I'll send you a referral link if you need it.

As for anything else, read what you're signing up for, I won't be responsible. . . but yeah, I'm canceling. I waited a few days, but am canceling when I get to it, maybe tonight.

Info I found on Reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/humblebundles/ ... thly_work/

Q8: Will I get everything inside the bundle if I subscribe for just the 1 month plan, and then unsubscribe right away?

A: Yes, you get the entire bundle and won't be charged for next month's bundle.

I sent you a referral link if you're still interested.

Cool. Unsure I want that bundle anyway. The only thing in it I want is the space one and I can just buy that directly from Steam.
I will think about it.

I checked the historic lows for Kerbal Space Program. It hasn't gone on-sale for less than $14.99 in years. That's what sold me on the bundle - that is the lowest price since it got out of Early Access. It's $39.99 now.

You won't play it anyway. Hell, _I_ might not either - but the other games hold some interest for me, so that helped my decision.

Keep an eye out for me for Kerbal Space Program again.
I am highly interested in this game.

I never took advantage of this. Should have I guess.
I just didn't want to sign up for that monthly plan then have to cancel etc..
Guess I should have. i :) i

I have Kerbal Space Program. It didn't impress me. I can't see paying $15 for it though, so I must have gotten it on sale for less than that, or as a really cheap bundle.

I have Kerble. It's good, but can be a bit complicated. I picked it up pretty early on. I go back to it from time to time. I have never made it past the closest moon. It's a pretty complicated game once you get past mearly getting into space. But if you are willing to do some math and learn orbital mechanics, you can have a blast. Or just build crazy rockets and planes in sandbox mode and see what happens.

Yeah, I don't want to learn math to play a game...

I used to play a space shuttle simulator that was more involved than Kerble, did pretty good in that, but it was all instruments, as this was back in the '80s on an IBM PCjr.

I can't see you paying $15 for ANYTHING*.

I joke, but really, yeah, I can't see it.

No, but seriously, It's funny 'cause it's true. . . :P

You must have got it before it went out of Early Access. It was never, never part of those "pay what you want ($1)" bundles.

* That's gonna be me soon. A lot sooner than I thought.
