Ebay questions

I've bought from Ebay for over 15 years, but I've never sold anything. I'm thinking of doing that now.

When they announced Fallout 4 at E3 in June, on a whim I went to Amazon and pre-ordered the Collector's Edition (the one with the Pip-Boy model you can put your smartphone in). It's $120, so I was pretty sure I'd end up canceling the order, but I don't have to pay until it ships Nov 10th, so I figured, "What the hell. I'll just cancel if I can't scrape together the cash by then."

Well, the collector's edition SOLD OUT IN ONE DAY, and there's a metric shit-ton of hype about this game. I checked Ebay yesterday and people are selling the CE for a hefty markup, and people are bidding on them. As much as I'd like to have the CE, I'd like to have both the regular edition AND A NEW GFX CARD more, so I want to sell my CE on Ebay.

I've never sold anything there. My Ebay acct has been around since 1999, but I only have a 30 feedback score (100%). I also have a verified PalPal acct that's about as old as the Ebay acct.

If any of you have done any selling on Ebay and have any tips, or pitfalls to watch out for, I'd like to hear them. I don't want a bad deal, and I don't want a lot of aggravation, given my recent health issues. But. . .I really would like to be able to get a new gfx card, and the money I could make from this would make that happen.

Been a long time since I put anything on Ebay. I stopped when the fees got out of hand. They charge small fees for everything. That may have changed, but at the time it was getting dubbed fee-bay by sellers.

Outside of that, I never did anything special. Just tossed stuff up and it sold.

Thanks Prophet, I appreciate the answer. I'm just being a bit paranoid, and wanted to ask around to make sure there weren't any bad pitfalls to avoid. I want to sell this, but I need the deal to go smoothly. Too much going on in my life to add another problem right now.

I'm gonna throw it up there in a few days, make it PayPal only and free shipping to the lower-48. Simple.

I wanted to mention Doc that you can also sell that directly from Amazon. You can start your own product page if you wanted.

Amazon has that "Also available from these sellers" option that you can list it. I believe they would charge you a small fee but so will Ebay. Factor these fees in.

You will need to Google to get more info.
