Insurgency: Sandstorm has new free content added with update 1.6.

The update added public mod tools and mod.io integration, a new map, two new weapons, new domination layouts, and more.

Mods are a huge deal since we will finally get new custom maps and game enhancements.

We are already running a few new maps on our server and will add a few game enhancement mods..

AMD CPUs are vulnerable to a severe new side-channel attack



Cutting corners: All AMD processors released since 2013 are vulnerable to a pair of new side-channel attacks, "Collide + Probe" and "Load + Reload." Both exploit weaknesses in AMD’s L1D cache way predictor, a tool that predicts where data is stored in the processor, to detect when that data is accessed. By combining the new exploits with existing methodologies, researchers from the Graz University of Technology were able to crack open all the secrets of AMD processors in labs and real-world servers.

Anthem will get a redesigned experience, BioWare says.

Will we see a comeback?



Anthem was met with subpar reviews when it launched almost a year ago, a surprise given its developer, BioWare, also made the critically-acclaimed Mass Effect and Dragon Age games. The developer has acknowledged its problems and appears to be making one big push to fix everything.

Half-Life: Alyx Announced

It's not Half-Life 3, but a prequel of sorts, designed for VR. Folks have long suspected Valve would release a HL game on VR as a killer app/showcase for the tech, and it appears there was merit to that idea. It takes place between Half-LIfe 1 and 2, and will feature Alyx Vance as the protagonist. More info to be announced on Thursday.

I think I found my new mouse. I like this one and may get one. Have to think about it. If it goes on sale at all I WILL get it.

Edit: Looking further into it it may not be a good gaming mouse.
